The Cincinnati Collaborative Ringing Project (CCRP) is a unique handbell ensemble based in Cincinnati, Ohio.
CCRP has as its fundamental mission the building of collaborative relationships with different types and styles of musicians and ensembles. The group was formed as an experimental project which is reliant on member participation at many different levels. Artistic and administrative direction of the group are shared across the membership. CCRP relies exclusively on the voices of its members in the selection of music. Rehearsals are collaborative in the truest sense. The musicianship of the members is the guiding force which directs CCRP in creating poignant interpretations of the repertoire. CCRP members come from many walks of life. All of the musicians in CCRP have come to the group with substantial musical talents and experience. For this reason CCRP is able to employ a variety of musical timbres including recorder, flute, voice, percussion and of course handbells and chimes. The Cincinnati Collaborative Ringing Project takes the "collaborative" aspect seriously. Every one of the players is a director. Every player "plays well with others" and CCRP plays well with other ensembles. The Cincinnati Collaborative Ringing Project has performed with or is currently collaborating with the following musical ensembles.
